New Funding Opportunities

EPA’s National Clean Diesel Campaign (NCDC) is now soliciting proposals for the 2014 National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program funding through the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) program.  The total estimated funding for this competitve opportunity is approximately $9 million.  The Request for Proposals (RFP) is posted on the NCDC website and on www.grants.gov.

Proposals are due Tuesday, June 17, 2014.  EPA plans to award funding through this competition in the fall.

EPA will host two general applicant webinars on Tuesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 15.  Both will be from 2-4pm EDT.  Participants do not need to pre-register for the webinars.  The links to the webinars and call-in information are available on the NCDC website.

Cleaner Greener Communities Phase II Implementation Grants Round 2 (NYSERDA PON 2951) – $30 million.  The primary goal of the Cleaner Greener Communities program is to encourage communities to create public-private partnerships and develop regional sustainable growth strategies in areas including emissions control, low-carbon transportation, renewable energy, and other carbon reductions.

There are three categories of projects:

Category 1 – Incentive Applications (open enrollment): NYSERDA will continue to accept applications through the existing program, PON 2721 – Category 1, which was released in 2013, until September 30, 2015, until funds are exhausted, or until the solicitation is revised by NYSERDA, whichever comes first.

Category 2 – Planning initiatives (competitive due date): Applications for Category 2 under PON 2951 are due by June 16, 2014.

Category 3 – Sustainability Projects (competitive due date): Applications for Category 3 under PON 2951 are due June 16, 2014.
