What We Do

CDCC is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program which is a network of nearly 100 Clean Cities coalitions across the country. CDCC serves 12 counties: Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Otsego, Greene, Columbia, Warren and Washington. The CDCC’s 80+ members from 60+ different local governments, agencies, organizations and businesses provide educational and networking opportunities on alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies and alternative fuel vehicles.

Alternative Fuels & Advanced Vehicle Technologies

Each day U.S. drivers consume millions of barrels of petroleum to fuel their more than 250 million vehicles.  CDCC supports the use of alternative fuels, including Biodiesel, Electricity, Ethanol (E85), Hydrogen, Natural Gas (CNG), and Propane (LPG) all as viable options to displace petroleum, improve air quality and help achieve energy independence.  Alternative fuels can also save drivers money and strengthen our local economies.

CDCC strives to provide educational resources, tools and training on alternative fuels to public and private fleet managers and consumers.  Click on a pump below and learn how you can green your fleet and move our nation towards energy independence.

Mission

Our goal is to take the alternative out of alternative fuels.   To do this we must reduce dependence on foreign petroleum resources, reduce vehicle emissions, enhance the development of an Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) marketplace in the Capital Region, accelerate local hybrid and electric vehicle sales, promote informed consumer choice on fuel economy and encourage the use of idle reduction technologies.  We are doing this by connecting consumers with producers and suppliers, and providing high-quality tools, resources and training to our members.   Think outside the barrel and join us today.
